I'm particularly drawn to the colours, textures and changing light of the Australian landscape. Each photograph is my way of sharing a moment and a place that has inspired me.

Why I Take Photographs

I never really set out to become a photographer. It has been a journey that has grown naturally from my love of nature, travel and simply being curious about the world around me.

I’ve always found myself stopping to look at things that others might walk straight past — a beautiful flower, a bird sitting quietly in a tree, the way the light falls across a landscape, or a dramatic sky that changes from one moment to the next.

Photography gives me a reason to stop.

When I have my camera in my hands, I’m not just taking a picture. I’m looking for a moment. Sometimes it’s something dramatic and breathtaking. Other times it’s something small and easily overlooked.

I love Australian landscapes and the incredible variety of nature they offer. From wide open country and rugged scenery to wildlife, flowers and tiny details, there is always something new to discover.

My Nikon Z50II has become a constant companion on my adventures, and I’m still learning every time I pick it up. That is one of the things I love most about photography — there is always something new to try, something new to learn and another way to see a familiar place.

Through this website, I want to share more than just photographs. I want to share the places, moments and experiences behind them.

Some photographs may remind you of somewhere you have visited. Others might introduce you to somewhere completely new. And perhaps some will simply make you stop for a moment and appreciate the beauty in something you might otherwise have missed.

For me, that is what photography is really about.
