Photography is something I truly love. There is nothing quite like being out with my camera, looking for those special moments in nature—the perfect light, a beautiful flower, a stunning landscape, or a scene that catches my eye when I least expect it.
Lately, though, I’ve had to slow down a little.
I injured my shoulder, and unfortunately, it has meant that I haven’t been able to get out with my camera and take as many photos as I would like. Carrying my camera, changing lenses and even holding the camera in the right position can be difficult when your shoulder isn’t cooperating.
It has been frustrating, especially when I’m travelling and constantly seeing things that I would normally stop to photograph. There have been plenty of moments when I’ve thought, “I wish I had my camera with me.”
But sometimes you simply have to listen to your body and give it time to heal.
For now, I’m enjoying looking back through some of the photographs I’ve already taken and remembering the places, landscapes, flowers and little moments that inspired me to take them. It also gives me plenty of ideas for the photographs I want to capture when I’m able to get back out there.
And I’m definitely looking forward to it!
As soon as my shoulder is feeling better, I’ll be picking up my camera again and getting back to doing what I love. There are so many beautiful places to explore and photograph, and I’m excited to see what I discover next.
Sometimes a little time away makes you appreciate something even more.
So, while there may be fewer new photographs from me for a little while, this is only a temporary pause. My camera isn't going anywhere—and neither is my love of photography.
I’ll be back behind the camera as soon as I can. 📷❤️
Until then, I’ll keep looking, keep noticing, and keep dreaming about the next photograph.
